Handling others opinions

There is currently a discussion about (N)Echo [1] going on, since Adam [2] invests $10k for not supporting a syndication format. While reading the comments I came across the entry of fishy [comments, 2]:

Dave\’s [Winer] done great work and we all respect it, but he attempts to push people around personally for holding different opinions to his own, and that\’s just wrong.

Linus sets a very different example: if he doesn\’t like it, he ignores it.

An interesting and different view on problem. Apart from that, Bill [3] has already implemented (N)Echo in his weblog but also states:

No blood for RSS!
