While googleling for a ppt2xml solution I came across this presentation by the Frauenhofer Institute [1] being held at a conference on behalf of XML Clearinghouses, Germany [2].
Someone told me, he was currently working on a Powerpointpresentation with included audio files and this is going to be burned on CD-ROM. That is ok as long as it is dedicated to a single OS, but Microsoft [3] does not offer a simple solution to make it crossplatform compatible. So one way is to make an export to quicktime, but the quality is rather low, I was told; also realmedia could be a way [4]. There is also a tool called \”Fixlinks\” [5] that might help, but it is not free. Another approach could be to convert all that stuff to XML. I have not a clue how this could be done. Need to read that paper first.
