KABLOG - enhanced mobile blogging
@ 14:53:49

Amazing... KABLOG [1] is offering variuos front-ends for mobile phones which make mobile blogging easier:
KABLOG is a tool for mobile phones and PDAs that allows you to post photos and blog entries to blog servers and services such as TypePad, Movable Type, Blogger, B2, Blog-City, UserLand (Radio), Roller, SnipSnap, and other blog servers that support either the simple blogger xmlrpc interface or the extended metaWeblog interface. In addition, KABLOG provides extended support for posting entries to TypePad/Movable Type.
As far as I can see, it also works with images.

vcf import problem on Thunderbird
@ 23:24:27

Just having switched to Thunderbird on OSX. The import facility does not seem to accept vcf files from the I found a java implemenation that converts vcf to ldif [1].

A perl script [2] did work properly while moving vcf to csv, but it might work for you [2].

Playing Skip-bo over the Network
@ 21:43:11

Just found a java implementation of Skip-bo which should run over a network [1]. Never mind if the manual says that the game only works on Windows, I have it running on OS X too ;-)
$ java -cp skipbo.jar skipbo.SkipBo
... or start skipnet_de.jnlp with Java Webstart. To configure an intranet game worked like this:

- PC1: start a Skip-Server on your local IP e.g.
- PC1: enter a Nickname
- PC2: search manually for a Skip-Server and enter the server's address:
- PC2: enter a Nickname

JSR-170 Content Repository for Java technology API
@ 21:47:14

Got an interesting link added by "anonymous" in my JSR-170 Content Repository for Java technology API wiki page. It points to an online demo provided by Day Software Inc. Day's CTO David Nuescheler himself is pretty active (Specification Lead) regarding JSR-170 [3] though ;-)
