The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is organizing an ITU WSIS Thematic Meeting on Countering Spam [1]from 7 to 9 July 2004, in Geneva, Switzerland. Discussion will be structured around five main themes:

– Consumer education and awareness
– Legislation and enforcement
– International cooperation
